This week’s scripture is being shared about loving your
neighbor as yourself. A long standing moral teaching introduced by Jesus, and just the right thing to do though often not understood or accepted. One may ask, “Who is my neighbor?” A
thought comes to mind in response. Does love have any limitation? What about
God's love. Does it have a sense of preference before He extends it to us His
creation?
Mark 12:31,
"And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
1 Corinthians 13:8-10,
Mark 12:31,
"And the second, like it, is this: 'You shall Love your neighbor as yourself.' There is no commandment greater than these."
1 Corinthians 13:8-10,
"Let no debt
remain outstanding, except the continuing debt to love one another, for whoever
loves others has fulfilled the law. The commandments, “You shall not commit
adultery,” “You shall not murder,” “You shall not steal,” “You shall not
covet,” and whatever other command there may be, are summed up in this one
command: “Love your neighbor as yourself.” Love does no harm to a neighbor.
Therefore love is the fulfillment of the law."
