Scriptures Weekly 33 - Bible Authority

What is Bible Authority? Do you think it is important? Where does it rate in the priority of your walk and worship of God? Is there a pattern of worship and service God desires to be pleased? Lets explore this further by opening your bible and reading the following.

God is a God of order and carefully patterned.

Read Genesis 1:1-5 about His creation on the first of 6 days.  

God shows us detailed patterns. 

Exodus 25:9, 

"According to all that I show you, that is, the pattern of the tabernacle and the pattern of all its furnishings, just so you shall make it."

Also Numbers 25:1-18 on His specifics as to how the tribes were to camp! God is very specific.

Hebrews 8:1-6 in the New Testament shows us Gods pattern and a vision of Heaven with the great High Priest Jesus.

 John 15:10 - Jesus says,

"If you keep My commandments, you will abide in My love, just as I have kept My Father’s commandments and abide in His love."

Do you see where God is a God of pattern and purpose so we can obey His clear commands to "please Him"?
