The Holy Spirit of God, the promised counselor that Jesus
said the Father would send to his disciples in his name, guides, instructs and
comforts among many other blessings. Here are two indwelling realities of the
Holy Spirit with scriptures disciples can be assured of in their daily walk
with the Lord Jesus. These are the 3rd and 4th of 15 attributes
of the Holy Spirit we are sharing for your enlightenment.
3) He guarantees our salvation by sealing it in Christ.
Ephesians 1:13-14,
"In Him you
also trusted, after you heard the word of truth, the gospel of your salvation;
in whom also, having believed, you were sealed with the Holy Spirit of promise,
who is the guarantee of our inheritance until the redemption of the purchased
possession, to the praise of His glory."
Ephesians 4:30,
"And do not
grieve the Holy Spirit of God, by whom you were sealed for the day of
redemption."
4). He guides our steps and shows us Gods will for our
lives.
Mark 1:12,
"Immediately
the Spirit drove Him (Jesus) into the wilderness."
John 16:13-14,
"However, when
He, the Spirit of truth, has come, He will guide you into all truth; for He
will not speak on His own authority, but whatever He hears He will speak; and
He will tell you things to come. He will glorify Me (Jesus), for He will take
of what is Mine and declare it to you."
Romans 8:14.
"For as many
as are led by the Spirit of God, these are sons of God."
