Scriptures Weekly 68 - Lets be Honest, "Maybe You have been Taught an Incorrect Gospel"

The Gospel is the death, burial and resurrection of Jesus Christ. How does one obey this historical event that occurred 2000 years ago? Here's how.

Apostle Paul in Romans 6:3-5,

"Or do you not know that as many of us as were baptized into Christ Jesus were baptized into His death? Therefore we were buried with Him through baptism into death, that just as Christ was raised from the dead by the glory of the Father, even so we also should walk in newness of life. For if we have been united together in the likeness of His death, certainly we also shall be in the likeness of His resurrection,"

Scriptural baptism into Christ is the culminating obedient act of faith after initial belief, repentance and confession that is done to the person by other hands appropriating (making actual) ones salvation and entrance into the Lords church. In other words, God upon your completed baptism sees Jesus as the substitute in your place for the very first time, and your name is then officially listed in Heavens Book of Life, a new Christian. In this narrated example we see pure submissive obedient faith in God and the blood of Christ as He requires to be one of His.
