Making Room For God

In order for Jehovah Gods light to have room to enter into the unbeliever and or errant Christian, his or her soul must be convicted of their sin against God (Rom. 6:23). Where do we begin?

·  One must have an open ear and mind to seek, talk or listen on matters about God. (Rom. 10:14-17)

How, then, can they call on the one they have not believed in? And how can they believe in the one of whom they have not heard? And how can they hear without someone preaching to them? And how can anyone preach unless they are sent? As it is written: “How beautiful are the feet of those who bring good news!”

But not all the Israelites accepted the good news. For Isaiah says, “Lord, who has believed our message?” Consequently, faith comes from hearing the message, and the message is heard through the word about Christ.

· One’s secrets of their heart must be laid bare. (1 Cor. 14:24-25)

But if an unbeliever or an inquirer comes in while everyone is prophesying, they are convicted of sin and are brought under judgment by all, as the secrets of their hearts are laid bare. So they will fall down and worship God, exclaiming, “God is really among you!”

·  The guilt of how they have treated others must be exposed. (Psalm 69:5)

You, God, know my folly; my guilt is not hidden from you.

·  God must call the individual through the words of the Gospel. (1 Cor. 7:20-24)

Each person should remain in the situation they were in when God called them. Were you a slave when you were called? Don’t let it trouble you—although if you can gain your freedom, do so. For the one who was a slave when called to faith in the Lord is the Lord’s freed person; similarly, the one who was free when called is Christ’s slave. You were bought at a price; do not become slaves of human beings. Brothers and sisters, each person, as responsible to God, should remain in the situation they were in when God called them.

·  One must recognize Gods mercy and judgment. (Rom. 2:2-3, 9:18)

Now we know that God’s judgment against those who do such things is based on truth. So when you, a mere human being, pass judgment on them and yet do the same things, do you think you will escape God’s judgment?

Therefore God has mercy on whom he wants to have mercy, and he hardens whom he wants to harden.

·  One must not rebel against the Gospel with unbelief. (Rom. 4:20-21, 11:20-21, Heb.3:18-19)

Yet he did not waver through unbelief regarding the promise of God, but was strengthened in his faith and gave glory to God, being fully persuaded that God had power to do what he had promised.

Granted. But they were broken off because of unbelief, and you stand by faith. Do not be arrogant, but tremble. For if God did not spare the natural branches, he will not spare you either.

And to whom did God swear that they would never enter his rest if not to those who disobeyed? So we see that they were not able to enter, because of their unbelief.

·  One must in faith kneel before the cross of Christ and obey the Gospel. (Jn. 14:23, 2 Thess. 1:8)

Jesus replied, “Anyone who loves me will obey my teaching. My Father will love them, and we will come to them and make our home with them.

He will punish those who do not know God and do not obey the gospel of our Lord Jesus.

Once the unbeliever responds in obedient faith to the Gospel, he or she will then be gifted the Holy Spirit and a measure of faith (Rom. 12:3) from God as He wills. One is then sealed in the Spirit (Eph. 4:30) with the many blessings of Gods light to begin walking in a new life (2 Cor. 5:17), born again (Jn. 3:3).

May all who seek Jehovah God be open to Him in every way to righteousness.

Baptism in water isn’t a work of man.
