It is understood the good confession of Jesus Christ as Savior and Lord who died for our sins is the public verbal expression from the heart coming from love for Him. We have studied His word coming to a belief of who He is and the gifts He promises for those who repent, obey and confess Him prior to burial. Well, is it just a dunking, a ritual for show? Being united with Him in a death like His sounds more than just a commitment to us (Rom 6:5). It is where we die to ourselves contacting His cleansing blood by the power of the resurrection, and knowing we have chosen the same road to Jerusalem just like the Lord did when he made His final trek to that city to be crucified for us!
We believe there is much more to baptism by immersion in water and that God teaches us the full essence of His design and purpose of baptism for the remission of sins. This lesson exposes the many confessions expressed by the penitent believer that will help teach the bible student the full expression he or she will make to God, as well as increase the faith of the obedient disciple of Christ.
